Using Rhino Saved Views

Rhino offers the functionality to save a view so it can be restored at a later point. Clicking in the upper left corner of the view port reveals the a drop-down menu as shown below. Under "Set View" - "Named Views..." the "Named Views" panel can be opened. The panel allow you to save any Rhino view port setting with a name.

Once a view has been saved in the Rhino file, the saved view can now be selected via the drop down menu.

Alternatively, the named view can also be selected via text input.

Controlling Camera Position and View Direction

View Type

Zooming onto the camera component in the Grasshopper canvas reveals a plus sign at the lower edge of the component. This plus sign allows you to access additional camera specific controls. The "View Type" is one of them. The View Type selects the view ports projection settings by default. I different projection such as "Hemispheric Fisheye" is desired, it can be selected via the drop down menu.

If the view type parameter is changed frequently, the parameter can be added to the component inputs by clicking on "View Type" in the drop down.
