4.4 Climate based metrics

Radiance Parameters: Use the high quality preset of DIVA Calculate the continuous daylight autonomy distribution of the space on the same grid that you used above. Pick the adequate target illuminace and occupancy schedule for your space and make sure you document this choice in the submission.

  • Document the continuous daylight autonomy map in plan view. (screen shots are ok – but make sure you set the Rhino viewport background to either white or black so it will not look awkward on your slides)
  • What happens when you rotate the scene by 180 degrees? You can rotate the entire scene geometry in Grasshopper or in Rhino to recompute the analysis.
  • How does continuous daylight autonomy compare to UDI and DA and SDA?
  • Prepare a slide that shows this and add it to your final project presentation

Submit the Rhino model, the updated slide deck and hdr image files in zipped folder on Blackboard.
